According to Michael-Shawn Dugar, the Seahawks are expected to sign TE Brady Russell off of the Eagles’ practice squad to their active roster. Russell, 25, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in May.
The Eagles are bringing Brady Rusell back on the practice squad after a solid summer, and he could be a player to watch as a developmental prospect. Russell failed to make the 53-man roster, but the rookie undrafted free agent out of Colorado had a strong training camp and will remain with the organization.
Any disappointment that came from not hearing his name called during the NFL Draft went away quickly for Brady Russell. The former Colorado tight end got a call from the San Francisco 49ers as soon as the draft ended on Saturday.
For the past couple of months, Brady Russell has taken some time to get away from Colorado. The former CU tight end has been in Florida avoiding distractions, working out and doing a lot of reading.
