COWBOYS RUMORS & GOSSIP

Former Cowboys' QB Danny White says team doesn't need a 'Peyton Manning'

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Danny White is tired of hear that current signal caller Tony Romo needs to step up his game, instead White says the rest of the team needs to, not Romo. With a defense that was one of the league worst, an offensive line that changes year to year, and poor personnel moves, it's unfair to point the finger at Romo.

The Cowboys are reportedly picking up the option for a 5th season with Smith, according to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas. Danny White: Tony Romo is the perfect quarterback for the Cowboys

Danny White manned the quarterback spot for the Dallas Cowboys for much of the 1980s and left his mark on the franchise with a pretty successful record (and a run of three consecutive NFC Championship games). White also had to bear plenty of criticism for the fact that his Cowboys squads failed to win any of those three conference championships. So, it may be unsurprising that...

Dallas Cowboys: Why Dallas Day matters

Garrett Gilbert at Texas The biggest news around Valley Ranch this week is some high-profile visits by possible draft picks like Aaron Donald, Anthony Barr and Timmy Jernigan. It could be that the Dallas Cowboys spend a pick on one or two of their best-known visitors. It could be that they draft none of them. History has been a mixed bag when it comes to visits–Travis Frederick...

The Dallas Cowboys are playing in one of the 10 best NFL games in 2014

After much anticipation, it is now believed that the NFL will release its 2014 schedule on Tuesday, April 22. At that point, we’ll find who plays who, from Week 1 to Week 17, including all of the primetime and national TV games; that’ll provide fans with somewhat of a road map for the season. But some games are going to be so attractive that it doesn’t matter when they’re...

The Dallas Cowboys will draft Tony Romo’s successor in 2014

Tony Romo is the Dallas Cowboys quarterback for at least the next two seasons. But I believe that they will draft his eventual successor in this quarterback class. The Cowboys have tried unsuccessfully to find an eventual replacement before. They were interested in Andy Dalton in 2011 and would’ve drafted him in the second round had he fallen to their pick. They also liked Russell...

Aikman: Romo's back should be a concern for Cowboys

Although there's been nothing but good news concerning Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's recovery from back surgery, former QB Troy Aikman thinks it should be a concern for the team going forward. “I came back in a relatively short period of time because of when I had my surgery, so he’s at least afforded more time to get ready,” Aikman said, via the team'...

A proposed new Dallas Cowboys uniform is pretty sweet

Proposed uniform changes for NFL teams is nothing new. Every week, some sort of idea seems to pop up – from radical redesigns to Star Wars themed tweaks to subtle changes. Most are interesting, but fairly laughable. One new batch, however is worth taking a look at. Jesse Alkire, a freelance graphic artist / designer from Chicago, recently put his spin on each NFL team’s uniform...
