WWE Raw video highlights: Johnny Gargano returns

After nearly five months away, Johnny Gargano was back on WWE television last night.

Gargano reunited with his DIY tag team partner Tommaso Ciampa on last night's Raw. Following the main event of the episode, Gargano saved Ciampa from an Imperium beatdown. Gargano took out Ludwig Kaiser and then joined together with Ciampa to give Giovanni Vinci their Meeting in the Middle finisher. Gargano and Ciampa hugged after Raw went off the air.

Last night's Raw was originally only scheduled to feature a contract signing for an upcoming Intercontinental title match between Gunther and Ciampa. But Ciampa didn't want to wait to get his title shot. He challenged Gunther to have their match last night, and Gunther accepted.

Ciampa put in a great effort but ultimately lost to Gunther. Ciampa passed out in a sleeper after being given two powerbombs.

Kaiser and Vinci attacked Ciampa once the match ended. Gunther headed backstage as Kaiser and Vinci delivered the beatdown. But Gargano's music hit and he ran down to help Ciampa fight off Imperium.
