Wes Lee Names Wrestling Legend As Dream Tag Team Partner

If Wes Lee could form a tag team with any wrestler in history, he'd pick Ricky "The Dragon Steamboat.

Lee revealed in an interview with Under The Ring that Steamboat would be his dream partner because "it's The Dragon."

"His style and flare and flash that he had on his moves is something influenced me," Lee said of Ricky Steamboat. I don't know how I happened to neglect influences early on, but yeah, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat."

Lee is a former NXT Tag Team Champion as part of the MSK group. He recently was NXT North American Champion and holds the record as the longest reigning North American Champion in history. Two weeks ago on NXT and with the help of The Judgement Day, Dominik Mysterio defeated Lee to win the championship.

Wes Lee gets his rematch for the NXT North American Championship Sunday at the Great American Bash

Sunday at the NXT Great American Bash, Lee will get a rematch for the North American Championship when he faces both Mysterio and Mustafa Ali in a Triple Threat Match. Other announced matches for the show include:

• Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship
• Tiffany Stratton vs. Thea Hail in a Submission Match for the NXT Women's Championship
• Gallus vs. Tony D'Angelo & Stacks for the Tag Team Championship
• Roxanne Perez vs. Blair Davenport in a Weapons Wild Match
• Gable Steveson vs. Baron Corbin
