Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes face-to-face announced for next WWE SmackDown

The WrestleMania 40 night two headliners will go face-to-face on the March 22 WWE SmackDown. 

As revealed on this week's episode, a face-to-face confrontation between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & his WrestleMania 40 challenger Cody Rhodes will take place on next Friday's SmackDown. 

A pair of matches in the tournament to decide which teams will participate in the Undisputed Tag Team title ladder match at WrestleMania are also set for next week's SmackDown. 

The OC's Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows will face Austin Theory & Grayson Waller in one tournament bout, while Authors of Pain will take on The Street Profits in another tournament match. 

In tournament matches on this week's SmackDown, New Catch Republic's Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne defeated Pretty Deadly's Elton Prince & Kit Wilson, plus Legado Del Fantasma's Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza defeated LWO's Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro. Those teams will meet to determine the winner of bracket one. Next week's winners will meet to determine the winner of bracket two. 

Rey Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar will also take place on next week's SmackDown episode.

• WrestleMania 40 Tag Team title match qualifying tournament: Authors of Pain vs. The Street Profits
• Rey Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar
