Ring of Honor's Cole Karter was unable to finish his match at the most recent Ring of Honor taping due to what some in the company fear could be a concussion.

During the latest taping, Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal teamed together to face Griff Garrison and Cole Karter. The match ended via referee stoppage, PW Insider reports, and Daniels and Sydal were awarded the win. The impromptu finish saw Sydal hit Karter with a twisting splash and Sydal reportedly landed directly on Karter's face, with his head smashing into the canvas. There was talk backstage at the taping that Karter suffered a concussion.

The match was stopped and Daniels, alongside referee Paul Turner, called for a ringside doctor. AEW physician Doc Sampson came out and looked over Karter before making the call for the match to be ended. Karter was able to walk away under his own power though it took a while before this happened.

Daniels then grabbed a microphone and put Karter over, noting that this wasn’t the way they wanted to win. In addition to his work as an in-ring talent, Daniels also serves as the Head of Talent Relations for AEW.

On-screen, his removal was explained as due to him trying to make a play for leadership of Tony D'Angelo's 'family'. He has also competed for AEW
