New Wrestlemania 40 Rumor Suggests A Philadelphia Eagles Legend May Get Physical At The Event

A new Wrestlemania 40 rumor making the rounds ahead of this weekend’s event claims one of the Philadelphia Eagles’ best players of the last decade could end up getting physical with some of the talent on the roster.

Wrestlemania is always the biggest event of the year not just for WWE, but in the entire professional wrestling industry. What makes it so special is that some of the company’s most iconic matches and moments often happen at the “Showcase of the Immortals.” However, it is also memorable for the fun celebrity appearances.

Mr. T, Muhammad Ali, and Cyndi Lauper put the first event on the map for showing up in various roles at the inaugural card. That tradition has continued in the four decades since and includes the likes of former United States President Donald Trump, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, and even “Jersey Shore” star Snookie.

Well, it looks like the 40th edition of the event will be no different and could have a celebrity appearance linked to the arena where both nights of Wrestlemania 40 will take place, Lincoln Financial Field. Last week Fightful claimed there were rumblings that Philadelphia Eagles great Jason Kelce could appear at the event and more rumors are swirling.

PW Insider reporter Mike Johnson claimed on Thursday the retired NFL star has been spotted in the area in recent days and a source close to the brother of Travis Kelce told him “I can’t tell you that [he will appear], but if he was, you’d think we’d book him to do something physical in the stadium he called home, right?”

The seven-time Pro Bowler retired from the sport last month, and at just 36 years old, it is not out of the question that this could open the door to some more work for the Eagles veteran in WWE. He also has a popular podcast with the Kansas City Chiefs great and is expected to land a major on-air role for one of the NFL pre-game shows.
