Mark Henry Believes "It's Just A Matter of Time" For Kenny Omega vs CM punk

Pro wrestling legend and AEW backstage interviewer Mark Henry wishes to see a bout between Kenny Omega and CM Punk.

The backstage relationship between CM Punk and The Elite hasn't been the most cordial one. They have also been kept on separate shows since Punk returned to AEW on the debut edition of Collision. The tumultuous relationship stemmed from Punk's bold post-show comments and involvement in the alleged backstage fight at the infamous 2022 All Out pay-per-view.

Recently, Punk once again grabbed the headlines for taking shots at The Elite's Hangman Page. On last Saturday's AEW Collision, CM Punk teamed with the AEW Tag Team Champions FTR to challenge The House of Black for the AEW Trios Title. CMFTR failed to capture gold, thanks to the outside interference of Samoa Joe.

After the show went off the air Punk cut a promo, taking digs at Hangman Page at the latter's merch and action-figure sales. Reports emerged that Punk apologized to the 'Cowboy.'

Mark Henry would love to see Kenny Omega take on CM Punk

Mark Henry joined in for a chat with Torg & Elliott and he was asked if the fans would ever witness Kenny Omega battle CM Punk in the squared circle. The WWE Hall of Famer responded by saying that even he wants the match to take place. He believes it would be incredible to witness Omega and Punk share the ring. He said:

"I want to see it too. It's just a matter of time. You let things iron themselves out, and you see where things lead to. Could you imagine an AEW tournament for the World Title and on one side of the bracket, to go to the finals, you have Kenny Omega and CM Punk meet up against each other? It would be incredible." Henry added:

 "The top 100 wrestlers of all time, they're halfway on it. CM Punk and Kenny Omega are in the top 40 of all time. People don't realize, you go to the NFL, look up the top 100 football players, see who is in the top 40. It will blow your mind. Same thing with any other sport. I'd like to see the top 100 baseball players and see who is the top 40. It's nothing to sneeze at. I believe in both of those guys being great competitors and I feel they have a lot left, multiple years. Kenny Omega just signed a new deal. He's going to be around another four years."

We have seen many personal feuds turned into on-screen storylines and a match between Kenny Omega and CM Punk could well be materialized as well. 

We will have to wait and see if that match actually takes place down the road.
