WWE legend Lex Luger recently revealed that Vince McMahon's wife Linda McMahon was against the idea of rehiring him.

Luger had a run with WWE from 1993 to 1995. Following his departure from WWE, Lex Luger had a six-year-long run with WCW. He went on to have a brief run in IMPACT Wrestling (formerly TNA).

Luger had surprised the fans with his appearance on the debut episode of WCW Nitro. A day prior at an untelevised live event, he competed in the final match under WWE.

Unfortunately, in 2007, a serious neck and spine injury led to him suffering temporary paralysis which put an end to his his in-ring career.

It has now come to light that Linda McMahon didn't want Luger to be rehired. Lex Luger recently shed light on how Linda McMahon never wanted him to get rehired.

Luger's newly launched Lex Expressed podcast with Conrad Thompson saw Luger talking about the matter. The former WWE and WCW star revealed that Linda McMahon was not a fan of how Luger parted ways with WWE. He also never informed Vince McMahon of his plans ahead of the exit. Luger said that Linda was being protective towards Vince. He stated:

"When I walked out, because of my close relationship I always had with Vince, I guess Vince was very hurt, which if I could do over, nowadays, I probably wouldn't have done it that way."

He added:

"I would think. But I heard that Linda talked to him and said, 'If you ever bring him back in here...' because she loves her husband. It was like a protective moment like 'Don't you ever bring that man back in here' because Vince, I guess, it was jaw-dropping."

Lex Luger recently revealed that he is currently signed with WWE as an ambassador.
