Kenny Omega Respects CM Punk: There’s No Issue Between Him And I
AEW

We are still hearing about the All In fight which led to CM Punk leaving AEW, but Kenny Omega has only respect.

The end of CM Punk’s time in AEW was a complete mess. He returned after surgery and suspension, being placed mostly on Collision. Everything changed as All In from London began. Jack Perry made a remark to the camera, leading to a backstage incident with Punk. They were quickly separated and both suspended following an investigation. Perry remains suspended and Punk was let go days after the even, as Tony Khan felt his life was in danger.

When Punk retuned to WWE at Survivor Series, that should have been it. However, Khan decided to release the backstage moment following Punk telling all on The MMA Hour. Many see the footage airing as not making AEW look any better. In fact, the belief is the inmates now run AEW and not Khan.

No Bad Blood

Looking back at his time in AEW, Punk did work with some of the biggest names. Although, he never got in the ring with Kenny Omega. On his Twitch stream, Omega stated how there is no issue with Punk. “It’s mutual respect,” said Omega. “We reached out to each other. It’s not like hey we’re good now, we were never bad. Honestly, if it weren’t for a complete other factor, we would have been able to have the talk on the night of Brawl Out. There’s no issue between him and I as far as I know, I don’t think there is at all.”

For Omega, there is no word on when he might return to action. He began a tag team with Chris Jericho, but was removed from TV after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. Last we heard, he was yet to undergo surgery and his in-ring future remains much in doubt. So, if Kenny Omega is cool with CM Punk, did AEW boss Tony Khan making a mistake?
