Pro wrestling veteran Jim Cornette recently took a shot back to AEW Head of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels regarding CM Punk being released.

AEW President Tony Khan announced that after an investigation involving CM Punk and Jack Perry, Punk’s contract with AEW was terminated.

It came to light that Perry and Punk's issue arose because Perry made comments that were directed toward Punk during his Zero Hour match with Hook. When Perry got backstage, Punk was there because his match was next. This resulted in the two men having a heated exchange of words and a physical altercation took place.

Amid Punk's shocking release, Cornette shared his thoughts on the turbulent situation and took shots at AEW’s legal officer, Megha Parekh. He lashed out for the way she handled the whole situation.

However, his personal remarks about Megha Parekh were not related to Punk's release. This grabbed attention on social media and AEW Head of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels was having none of the “garbage” directed at AEW’s Chief Legal Officer.

Taking to social media, Christopher Daniels snubbed the rumors regarding Parekh. He wrote:

“I’ve kept my mouth shut about a lot of things in this past year, but the unsubstantiated garbage I’ve read in the past day about AEW’s chief legal officer is an embarrassment to anyone spouting it. Absolutely the last person who should be maligned in this situation.”

Jim Cornette responds

Jim Cornette took note of the above Tweet by Daniels and decided to hit back as he wrote:

“OK, Chris, then tell us who the FIRST person who should be maligned is so we can get started on them....”

Check it out below:

We will now wait and see what the future holds for CM Punk.
