Jerry Lawler is looking healthy and keeping positive after the pro wrestling legend suffered a stroke earlier this year.

Lawler joined long-time friend Bill Apter in a new interview to give details about what he still is struggling with when it comes to him getting back to normalcy following the health scare.

"I've had a bunch of different things done, but I’m still going to rehab three times a week. Probably the main thing that's drawing me back now as you could probably tell as you hear me talk, my voice is not the same as it was beforehand. It's slowly coming back in, but it needs to come back a little more before I can go and do a lot of just making sense with my speech and vocabulary."

The King, who did make a special appearance on WWE Raw back in August, also provided further context as to what the rehab process exactly looks like for him, specifically with regaining control of his speech.

"When I just started this right after I had the stroke, I could barely talk. Now I go in and I sit down with this rehab lady and we just talk about different things and she has me read stuff. All of this stuff has just helped me day in and day out to get my vocabulary better."

The WWE Hall of Famer adds that he still struggles with operating the right side of his body at points which also doesn't make his autographs up to his level of preference.

Lawler then makes clear that he's extremely happy from all the support he's received some fans during such a tough time for him and takes a moment to thank everyone for their well-wishes.

"I would like to say thank you for being concerned and worried about my upkeep and what I've had going on. It's just awesome to know that there are fans out there that really are wondering what I am doing during my time and it's nice to talk to them.”

SEScoops would also like to extend our best wishes for a healthy and speedy road to recovery to Jerry Lawler at this time.
