WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler made an appearance during a commercial break on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw that took place in his hometown, Memphis.

Last night, Damian Priest defeated Sami Zayn in a singles match. During a commercial break on Raw, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn cut a promo. They stated that they were in a bad mood due to the issues with The Judgment Day.

Zayn then revealed that his mood improved when he saw “a certain someone” backstage. Then Owens chimed in and announced Jerry Lawler to the crowd. 'The King' made his return to a standing ovation as the fans chanted 'Jerry' for the hometown hero.

Jerry Lawler flaunted his new look

Lawler came out to his usual entrance theme. He sported a black shirt and baseball cap. The WWE legend also rocked the grey beard.

Lawler has been away from the public eye in recent months. He had been battling health complications in recent months. Back in February of this year, he suffered a stroke, his second after previously suffering one in 2018.

The last time Lawler made an appearance was when he appeared on WWE TV in a videotape at the WWE Hall of Fame, where he shared a brief message celebrating Andy Kaufman who was inducted that night.

His health issues date back to 2012 when 'The King' suffered a heart attack during a live episode of WWE Raw. He eventually recovered and continued as a color commentator on and off until 2019. He had been part of WWE pre-show panels as well.

It is always nice to witness Jerry Lawler on the screen. We will have to wait and see if he makes more appearances in the future.
