A report from PWInsider yesterday seems to confirm the exit from All Elite Wrestling of second-generation wrestler Brian Pillman Jr. This comes after noticing the removal of the wrestler’s profile from the AEW website.

Stint In AEW

The 29-year-old student of Lance Storm was signed to AEW in 2021 after working regularly on a per-appearance basis for the company since 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He was paired up with similar long-haired dirty blonde wrestler Griff Garrison and the two were billed as the tag team “The Varsity Blonds” alongside valet Julia Hart. The team was a regular fixture of AEW’s developmental programs on YouTube, AEW Dark & AEW Dark: Elevation.

Pillman Jr., alongside other members of his family, was profiled for Dark Side of the Ring’s debut episode of season three in 2021. Focusing on his late father, Brian Pillman. As well as the other issues that sadly surrounded his family in the aftermath of his father’s passing. As things stand, and as some seem to report, the door is open for Pillman to come back to AEW in some capacity and the wrestler has yet to actually confirm his exit.

Possible Destinations for Brian Pillman Jr.

Brian Pillman Jr.  had a successful run in Major League Wrestling before his AEW run where he was a former MLW World Tag Team Champion alongside Davey Boy Smith Jr. A stint that also saw him feud with MJF as members of their respective factions, “The Hart Foundation” and  “The Dynasty.” With MJF & and Richard Holliday defeating them for those MLW World Tag Team Championships. So, a return to the company is quite possible.

Of course, other options available for Brian Pillman Jr. to explore include IMPACT! Wrestling. Or return to the independent scene. Brian Pillman has won titles in companies such as Warrior Wrestling, and Ohio Valley Wrestling. And at the young age of 29, as well as being a second-generation wrestler that has shown quite a good level of aptitude for the wrestling business, he has plenty of opportunities to explore.
