The calendar has flipped to 2024. The ratings for AEW Dynamite are out/ It was another excellent show. Let’s dive into this week’s rating to see how the show did.

AEW Dynamite In Range For Viewership

AEW Dynamite was from North Charleston, South Carolina. It was a loaded card for Tony Khan and company. We saw the AEW World Title on the line as Samoa Joe defended the title against Hook. Also, Deonna Purrazzo took on Ana Jay for the right to face Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship. The ROH Six Man Tag Team Belts were on the line, and the Mogul Embassy took on Bullet Club Gold.

The TNT Championship was on the line as Christian Cage took on Dustin Rhodes. We also saw Roderick Strong from the Undisputed Kingdom challenge Orange Cassidy for the International Title at AEW Revolution. Speaking of Revolution, the card is coming together nicely. It appears things are headed in a three-way with Joe, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland. Plus, the Young Bucks sat down for an interview regarding challenging Sting and Darby Allin at Revolution. That will be Sting’s final match, along with action from Private Party and Top Flight, and so much more.

891,000 people viewed the January 17th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show and did a .33 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership and demo remain in range for the company. Look, TV Ratings are what they are. Some days, they will be good. Other times, it’s not so good. However, Warner Brothers Discovery is satisfied with AEW and what they are doing with Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision to discuss extending their contract.  The company is in a good place.

This was a solid show of wrestling.
