Werder Bremen signing Keita: Klopp never gave up on me at Liverpool

Werder Bremen signing Naby Keita concedes his time with Liverpool didn't gone as planned.

Keita ended five injury-plagued years with the Reds by joining Werder in a Bosman transfer this month.

However, while the midfielder rues the injury problems he endured, he had nothing but positive words for manager Jurgen Klopp and his staff.

He (Klopp) is a very good coach and a really good person," the 28-year-old told BILD. Whenever I was injured, he took care of me.

He kept telling me, 'You are strong, never give up!' That helped me. Even though things didn't go so well for me in Liverpool because of my injuries, I'm very grateful to him."
