The AC Milan travelling support made it clear how unhappy they were with the team’s performance after they crashed out of the Europa League against Roma.

Roma seized absolute control of the tie after their first leg win last week with two early goals. The first came when Gianluca Mancini reacted quickest to a rebound off the bar to fire in, then Paulo Dybala’s excellent curling strike doubled the lead on the night.

Mehmet Celik was sent off in the 34th minute and yet Milan could not get a goal of their own until the final five minutes when Matteo Gabbia headed in, but they still lost 2-1 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate, thus seeing the final trophy target vanish.

At the end of the game the players – led by Yacine Adli, who didn’t play a minute – went over to the away sector but they were met with jeers and chants of ‘get the f*** out’ or words to a similar effect.
