The momentum is definitely with Celtic, let’s make it count

There’s no doubting that the title momentum is now with Celtic. Our recent good form coupled with theRangers calamity-comedy-collapse has seen us move into pole position with just five games remaining.

This has led to howls of derision from theRangers supporters, while there also seems to be some apparent infighting between the Ibrox players who seem to be buckling under the pressures of being in a title fight.

That doesn’t mean we should rest on our laurels. That would be rather foolish and could come back to bite us big time, we’ve seen many scenarios in the past where teams have came back from worse situations.

The lead we currently have is a slender one, and it only takes one slip to allow our rivals back in. With a game still to negotiate against the Ibrox club amongst other tricky fixtures, it would be rather naive to think the title is in the bag.

Thankfully we have an experienced man in Brendan Rodgers at the helm. He’s been in this situation many a time and he won’t let the players get carried away. The likes of Callum McGregor, Joe Hart and James Forrest will also be figures of great experience amongst a group of players who already have experience of winning a title.

It’s not over by a long shot, and nor should we think it is, but we have the momentum and more importantly we have the ability and experience to see us over the line. Let’s hope we make it count.
