This is a Chelsea predicted lineup for their clash with Fulham in the Premier League for the early kick-off on Saturday.  The Blues are aiming to get a win over their neighbours to right the ship after a crushing 1-0 defeat to Championship side Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup.

How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently

The high number of injuries and Nicolas Jackson’s presence at the African Cup of Nations has left the manager with very little options for the starting eleven. The back line has been a consistent group of Djordje Petrović, Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, and Malo Gusto with Alfie Gilchrist getting a start in the FA Cup.

Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher have lined out as the defensive midfield pairing but with Enzo Fernandez back he should reform his partnership with the Ecuadorian. Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, and Armando Broja have started as a front four with Mykahilo Mudryk mainly coming off the bench.

Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics

Things were going just a little too well for Mauricio Pochettino and his 4-2-3-1 after racking up three wins on the bounce. They proceeded to drop the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against a lower-division team to bring things back down earth after such a good run.

After a good run of matches where the team found their shooting boots the lack of a reliable striker caused a shutout in midweek. In addition, their inability to keep clean sheets reared its head again after a solid defensive night against Preston.

Chelsea Absences to Consider

The latest injury update is shorter than previous editions with Ben Chilwell and Benoit Badiashile returning to full training. Those two are unlikely to start but should be named to the squad if all goes well. Carney Chukwuemeka is also noted as “returned to full team training” but his lengthy absence means he could have a slower road to getting into the squad.

Jackson, as mentioned previously, is representing Senegal currently while Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella, Lesley Ugochukwu, Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, and Christopher Nkunku are all sidelined.
