Inter Milan have no plans to sell Marcus Thuram for anything less than the value of his release clause which is set at 85 million euros.

The Frenchman joined the Nerazzurri last summer after seeing out his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 26-year-old has proved to be one of the best signings of the season in Italy and perhaps Europe, especially when considering the fact he arrived on a free transfer.

Thuram swiftly formed a great understanding with club captain Lautaro Martinez. He has thus far scored 14 goals and produced 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

His exploits include the goal that eventually sealed the Derby della Madonnina victory over AC Milan on Monday. This win allowed the Nerazzurri to clinch their 20th Serie A and unlock the second star.

However, the France international has a buyout clause in his contract that allows him to leave for 85 million euros.

So as La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInter1908) notes, Thuram would be the one to decide his fate if a club tries to activate this clause.

Inter Milan Won’t Offer Any Discounts On Marcus Thuram Release Clause

Nevertheless, the source believes this would be Thuram’s only way out of Appiano Gentile. That is because Inter do not intend to sell him for anything less than the aforementioned figure.

In recent weeks, Paris Saint-Germain emerged as a rumored admirer of Thuram. The Ligue 1 champions are searching the market for a new striker who can replace Kylian Mbappe who will leave the French capital at the end of the season.

For their part, Inter could be looking to bolster their attack with the likes of Albert Gudmundsson and Joshua Zirkzee. However, this doesn’t necessarily have to ensue at Thuram’s expense.
