‘I’m Told’: Fabrizio Romano Gives Key Update On ‘Magnificent’ Man Utd Star’s Links To Saudi Arabia

Manchester United have experienced a rather shaky start to the 2023/24 season and a number of last season’s heroes have failed to perform to their utmost potential. That includes experienced midfielder Casemiro, who has recently been linked to a possible move to the Saudi Pro League.

Manchester United Not Negotiating Casemiro Exit

Will Casemiro Be Sold To Saudi Club?

Fabrizio Romano has addressed the Brazilian midfielder’s links to a Saudi Arabia move and insists that the clubs in the Middle East have not made any approach to add the midfielder. He adds that no concrete discussions are taking place between Casemiro’s agents and any Saudi club over a possible deal.

He adds that it needs to be seen what happens in the summer in regards to the experienced midfielder, but that it depends on multiple factors like the Saudi clubs’ plans on signing him and if the Red Devils decide to let him leave.

Romano personally states that he feels that Casemiro is still a very important player for Erik ten Hag’s side but that he’s been troubled by persistent injury issues throughout this campaign. The 31-year-old is currently out of action with an injury he sustained in his side’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup 4th round clash and is expected to be out of action until the end of the year.

Are United Planning On Any January Transfers?

The Red Devils are currently undergoing a major transition in their upper-management level, with their CEO Richard Arnold announcing his imminent departure. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reported to be close to acquiring a 25% ownership stake and could ring in further changes after the same.

United are claimed to be prioritizing the signing of a new centre-back in 2024 but will decide when to sign one depending on the situation of the injured Lisandro Martinez. It now looks like Casemiro, who was hailed as “magnificent” last season, is also there to stay until at least the end of this season and will look to get back to his best once he returns.
