AC Milan are narrowing down their list of options to be the next head coach, and they have planned a meeting with the agents of one of their targets.

A report from Footmercato in France lists the candidates that are in Milan’s orbit, starting with Thiago Motta of Bologna and Mark van Bommel of Antwerp, continuing with Julen Lopetegui and Paulo Fonseca of Lille.

However, the name of Domenico Tedesco must not be ruled out either. Van Bommel would be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s priority, but is not necessarily shared at all levels of the club and the management group must identify someone that they all agree on.

According to their information, the Rossoneri directors have planned a meeting with Tedesco, the current coach of Belgium. The 38-year-old has previously been in charge of Schalke 04, Spartak Moscow and RB Leipzig.

Tedesco is currently expected to lead Belgium into the European Championships with a team that contains players Milan fans know well, such as Charles De Ketelaere, Romelu Lukaku and Aster Vranckx.

Milan will meet with Tedesco for a discussion that will serve to outline if there are the grounds to proceed, otherwise other options will end up being evaluated such as Motta.
