Done Deal: Club officially announces deadline day transfer after last gasp move
Xinhua

Tottenham have officially confirmed a late transfer of their highly-rated youngster.

Earlier today, it was reported that Spanish heavyweights Sevilla are interested in the Tottenham summer signing Alejo Veliz and have made a loan offer for him.

Things developed quickly and not much later, Romano confirmed the reports and claimed that the player is already in Spain to undergo a medical.

The medical went successful and a straight loan deal has been accepted by Tottenham which does not include any option or obligation to buy options.

The player is set to spend the rest of the season at Sevilla and then return to Spurs in the summer.

The club officially announced the deal on their official website. The club statement read:

“Alejo Veliz has joined La Liga side Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

Having joined the Club in August, 2023, from Rosario Central, Alejo has made eight appearances in our colours to date.

The 20-year-old attacker netted his first senior goal for the Club in a Premier League fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion in December, 2023.”

Sevilla also announced the player on their social media accounts.

He becomes the 8th player to leave the club this window. Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic, Sergio Reguilon, Ashley Phillips, Japhet Tanganga, Djed Spence, and Eric Dier have all left the club either on a permanent or a loan.
