Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is edging closer to a potential move away from the club.

Fabrizio Romano initially reported that Spartak Moscow had submitted a €12 million bid for the player, and talks between the two clubs are said to be at an advanced stage.

However, as per The Times’ journalist Gary Jacob, Tottenham have now agreed to a £13 million deal with Spartak Moscow for Sanchez.

The player is now reportedly considering his options as he weighs up the potential move.

Sanchez arrived at Tottenham in 2017 for a substantial fee of €42 million, making him one of the club’s most expensive signings at that time.

Back then, he was highly regarded as one of Europe’s most promising young defenders.

During his time at Spurs, Sanchez has shown moments of promise but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter.

A move away from the club could offer him a fresh start and a chance to rediscover his form.

For manager Ange Postecoglou, strengthening the defense is a crucial aspect of his attacking style of play.

Solidifying the backline will be a priority for Tottenham as they aim to compete at a high level in the Premier League.

A successful move for Sanchez could potentially free up funds to reinvest in other areas of the squad during the transfer window.

Tottenham are actively seeking defensive reinforcements and has been linked with other defenders such as Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba.

Alasdair Gold has also claimed that Spurs will be making a bid for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo and that the player is also keen on the move.
