Crystal Palace defender Guehi: Fantastic to have Doucoure and Lerma in midfield

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has hailed their new-look midfield partnership.

Cheick Doucoure and Jefferson Lerma have impressed in the opening weeks of the season.

After Saturday's draw with Brentford, Guehi told the club's website: It's okay at the moment. We put pressure on ourselves each and every day to try and get better, and it's going to take each and every day to do that.

It's important we take it a day at a time to analyse where we can get better and improve. It will come. It will take some time, but it will come. I think we just have to keep believing, keep trusting the process, and it will come.

It's fantastic to have Cheick [Doucour] and Jefferson [Lerma] in front of us. The back four are doing well. It starts from up front.

The boys are working really hard as a team to try and make it as easy as possible for us, so in that regard, we just need to carry on, and keep taking each game and each training session one day at a time to improve."
