Bayern Munich may well have found their replacement for Alphonso Davies, clearing the way for the Canadian to join Real Madrid this summer.

According to a report from MD, Milan left-back Theo Hernandez has agreed to join Bayern this summer, if they can reach a deal with the Rossoneri for his signature. He has been targeted by Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, Manchester United and Chelsea, but Bayern are the side that have convinced him most.

A negotiation between Bayern and Milan is no given for the 26-year-old, who arrived for little under €23m in 2019, and has grown plenty in the last five years. However if Bayern were to get a deal over the line for Hernandez, it would all but confirm the exit of Davies, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid.

With a year remaining on his deal, and little sign of a new one, Davies looks set to be sold this summer. Despite talk of a contract renewal for Ferland Mendy, who Carlo Ancelotti is a fan of and also has just a year left on his deal, Real Madrid will try to bring Davies in this summer or next, depending on the price. Bayern will not look to give the 23-year-old Canadian away, but a sale would make sense for all parties at this point.
