Balde delighted with new Barcelona deal - and new number

Alejandro Balde is delighted with his new deal at Barcelona.

The Spain wing-back has penned a contract to 2028 and held his signing ceremony today.

Balde said, I've been at the club for thirteen years now and all I have are good memories. My dream was always to make it to the first team and, officially, that dream is reality.

"I can only thank those who have helped me; also to the president, the coach, who gives me confidence every day. Getting there was in my mind, but it is a very long road. Not all children can fulfill that dream. But with work, effort, and hours dedicated to this, it has been achieved.

"I hope to continue contributing the same as until now or do it even better. I'm 19 years old, a lot to learn. I have five years of contract and when it ends I will be 24. I will still be very young.

"My goal here is really to learn and improve."
