With Jarred Tinordi Back, Blackhawks Send a Couple Back to Rockford

Kaiser had a pair of games upon his return, playing 19 minutes against Vancouver while being a +1 against Colorado during Chicago’s 3-2 win Tuesday night. Roos filled in for four game, his latest logging 17 minutes against the Avalanche.

Rockford has seen players jettisoned back and forth due to injury lately so this will allow both to hone their games while giving Rockford some more depth on the blue line.

Kaiser’s Strong Start with Blackhawks Slowed

Kaiser broke camp with the team but as the season wore on, he looked overmatched and frustrated as he adjusted to the NHL grind. Against Detroit, Kaiser was beaten by Robbi Fabbri on an incredible individual effort that made highlight reels around the league.

Kaiser was sent to Rockford not too long after for a chance to tighten things a bit and played in five games before Chicago recalled him as injuries piled up along with Kevin Korchinski being away from the team.

Roos has 16 games under his belt with the IceHogs this season with a goal and three assists.

With players returning for Chicago, it’s beginning to show that the opportunity to slow things down a bit for Kaiser has presented itself. With a strong camp, Kaiser playing in Chicago was absolutely the right move, but it was clear that some struggles were present and at times, his play was up and down.

A rebuild does present opportunities for young players to step in when it’s needed but the key is knowing the line of ready or rushing. Kaiser’s potential has yet to be scratched, as his versatility is certainly something that can come in handy down the road.

But patience, as written in CHN’s season preview, takes precedence. That’s exactly what the Blackhawks are doing.
