Watch: Red Wings and Sabres brawl after goal

Two things that will always bring hockey fans out of their seats are goals and fights.

Sometimes, you get both of those things on the same play.

That is what happened in the first period of Thursday's game between the Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings as the two teams got into a massive center ice brawl following a goal from Buffalo's Henri Jokiharju.

Have a look.

There is a lot happening there.

As Buffalo is carrying the puck into the Detroit zone, Sabres forward Jeff Skinner had an altercation with Detroit's Lucas Raymond, which caught the attention of Dylan Larkin. So much so that he actually let up on the play and abandoned his defensive assignment -- helping lead to the Buffalo goal -- so he could start to come to the defense of his teammate.

Then, as Larkin goes after Skinner, Skinner proceeds to continue celebrating in Larkin's face which only seems to further enrage him.

There also was not a single fighting major handed out, as Detroit's Jake Walman was given a double-minor for roughing, while Lakin was assessed a roughing minor of his own. Skinner received a cross-checking penalty for Buffalo.
