Sharks trying to acquire Devan Dubnyk, Ryan Donato from Wild?

The Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks are in for a bit of a shakeup this offseason, and the two sides reportedly are discussing a deal.

Dubnyk is entering the final year of his contract, which carries a $4.33 million cap hit. The 34-year-old had a .890 save percentage and 3.35 goals-against average in 30 appearances this past season. If the Sharks believe Dubnyk can return to the goaltender he once was, he could be a good fit alongside Martin Jones.

Donato was initially traded by the Boston Bruins to the Wild during the 2018-19 campaign. Boston received Charlie Coyle in exchange for the 2014 second-rounder.

The 24-year-old has one year remaining on his contract at $1.9 million. He has appeared in 130 games over the past three seasons and tallied 14 goals and nine assists in 62 contests during the 2019-20 campaign.

Donato's age and price tag could be intriguing for the Sharks, who have holes to fill in their bottom six.
