Nashville Predators Recall Tommy Novak, Kevin Gravel
USA TODAY Sports

The Nashville Predators recalled forward Tommy Novak and defenseman Kevin Gravel from Milwaukee on Sunday.

Gravel, a 30 year old defenseman, has played five games this season for the Predators including the final game before the All Star break against the New Jersey Devils. The 6'4" blue liner was recalled after Alexandre Carrier was injured in Nashville's win over the Winnipeg Jets on January 24. Carrier is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury.

Forward Tommy Novak has played 19 games so far this season for the Predators. Novak was recalled from Milwaukee back in December and has been a regular in the lineup since coming to Nashville. Novak has four goals and seven points in this NHL season. Before joining the Preds, Novak played 25 games for the Milwaukee Admirals in which he scored 11 goals and 15 assists and earned an invitation to the AHL All Star Game. Novak was replaced by Luke Evangelista at the AHL All Star event this weekend.

Novak and Gravel rejoin the team as the Preds prepare to face the Vegas Golden Knights. Novak, Gravel, and the Predators will face off against the Golden Knights at 7:00 pm CST tomorrow evening at Bridgestone Arena.
