Look: NHL players that share same name share the penalty box at same time

There was a funny — and very unique — moment in the third period of the New York Islanders' 3-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night when two players, with the exact same name, shared the penalty box at the exact same time.

First, we had Sebastian Aho, a defenseman for the Islanders, taking a holding penalty with just under eight minutes to play to give the Hurricanes a late power play.

But that power play would get negated after just a couple of minutes because Carolina's Sebastian Aho, who is no relation to the Islanders' Sebastian Aho, was penalized for high-sticking Bo Horvat.

That produced this moment.

Not only are the two players not related, they are not even from the same country.

Carolina's Aho is from Finland, while the Islanders' Aho is from Sweden.
This is not the first time the two have produced a funny, simultaneous moment.

It was just a little more than one year ago that the two Aho's scored goals at the exact same time in different games. That moment was almost even more unbelievable because the Islanders' Aho is not really known for offense or scoring goals.

A few years before that during a game in 2018 Carolina's Aho was also penalized for hooking the Islanders' Aho.

The adventures of Sebastian Aho will never stop.
