Hurricanes look strong at home for Game 7

It's Memorial Day, and the sports world continues on with it. We have one Game 7 to enjoy, and it's the NHL taking center stage on this Monday evening.

The home team has won every game between the Rangers and Hurricanes - The noteworthy trend as we head into a seventh and final game between New York and Carolina is that the home team has won every single game. This is nothing new for Carolina this postseason, as they are 7-0 at home and 0-6 on the road to this point. We have been following this trend all week and won't stop betting the home team now. Off a 5-2 loss to the Rangers in New York, we like this one to tighten up and for the Hurricanes to emerge victorious. Goal-scoring trends point the arrow squarely in the Canes' favor, with odds currently around -145 to win. No game in Carolina has exceeded four goals, so we're confidently parlaying both Carolina's moneyline and the under at +182. If you're looking for a player prop, Teuvo Teravainen has a point in every single home game this postseason and is -120 to keep that streak alive tonight.

In other news...

Celtics-Warriors NBA Finals begins Thursday - Boston led wire-to-wire on Sunday evening, eventually taking down the Miami Heat 100-96 to win Game 7 and advance to the NBA Finals. Now it's on to the pinnacle event of the basketball season as Boston travels to Golden State to take on the Warriors in Game 1 of the Finals. Steph Curry and Golden State dispatched Dallas in five games and have the championship experience that will be the Celtics' ultimate test. Boston arguably had the toughest path to get here, taking down a loaded Nets team, the defending-champion Bucks and the top-seeded Heat. We like the Celtics to win the Finals based on their defensive intensity, a bet you can make now at +130.

Tennis juggernauts meet in French Open quarterfinals - The quarterfinals in the men's French Open are starting to take shape, and one of tomorrow's matches has caught the attention of die-hard and casual tennis fans alike. The top-ranked player in the world, Novak Djokovic, will play 13-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal. Djokovic is a heavy favorite for tomorrow, -225 to win, but we like backing Nadal and his history on the clay. We're betting Nadal to win at +175.

Marcus Ericsson takes home Indy 500 at +1400 - In a thrilling race, it's Marcus Ericsson who won the coveted Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. Scott Dixon, the betting favorite heading into the day, led for nearly half of the race before a penalty for speeding down pit lane. This was Ericsson's third win in the IndyCar series.
