Bruins’ Pavel Zacha leaves game vs. Coyotes with upper-body injury, will not return

It isn’t clear how the the 26-year-old injured himself, but he was not on the bench with the team in the second period.

Through 26 games this season, Zacha has eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points, averaging 18:50 of ice time.

Zacha is in his second season with the Bruins. Last year, he scored 21 goals and 36 assists for 57 points, all of which were career highs.

Prior to joining Boston, Zacha spent seven seasons with the New Jersey Devils, where he scored 69 goals and 110 assists for 179 points through 386 games. The Devils selected Zacha sixth overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bruins are tied for first in the Eastern Conference with 37 points a 17-5-3 record. David Pastrnak has been dominant this season, scoring 14 goals and 22 assists for 36 points, all of which lead the team.
