Watch: Texans Laremy Tunsil Reveals Saint Omni Role in Massive Extension
USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans minted Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil to a market-setting contract extension on Sunday, paying him $75 million over three seasons, and making him the highest-paid player at his position in the NFL.

And on Thursday, in an interview with the Pat McAfee show Tunsil went in depth about his new deal, explaining that remaining in Houston was what he always wanted from the beginning.

But perhaps more interestingly, he also revealed the role that his new business parter, Saint Omni, played in the negotiations.

"That was the plan all along," Tunsil said. "The process didn't take long. Both sides were ready to get a deal done and that's what we did. "My biggest thing was, I hired this great team. I hired Saint Omni... my business partner, a mastermind, a trusted confidant."

Omni even made a brief appearance in the background of the video during the interview, sending the podcast hosts into a frenzy.

When asked to go more in-depth about Omni's role, Tunsil was vague, but noted his reliability.

"He's just always there when I need him," Tunsil said jokingly. "Just know he's Always there when I need him guys."

Omni, who also helped negotiate the massive new contract of Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquon Smith, who signed a five-year, $100 million deal with $60 million guaranteed.

He has become such an NFL folklore this offseason, he has even been compared to the famous villain from the classic movie The Usual Suspects, Keyser Soze.

And if Tunsil and Smith's new deals are any indications, he is going to play a major role in future NFL negotiations for some time to come.
