Watch: Steelers HC Mike Tomlin walks off when asked about contract

The Steelers suffered yet another devastating loss in the wild-card round of the playoffs, falling to the Bills, 31-17, on Monday.

Following the loss, head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about his contract, and he didn't even let the reporter finish their question.

ESPN's Brooke Pryor began saying, "Mike, you have a year left on your contract," but Tomlin didn't like what he was hearing and walked off the podium.

Emotions are clearly high for Pittsburgh after suffering its fifth straight postseason loss. But Tomlin's abrupt ending to his postgame press conference will certainly have speculations about his future with the team continuing to grow.

Tomlin proved he is still one of the best head coaches in the NFL by increasing his consecutive non-losing seasons streak to 17 this season and he would likely have several suitors if he becomes available. But a fresh start could be what's best for both sides as the Steelers have not won a playoff game since 2016, which is the franchise's longest drought since 1970.

Pittsburgh may even be able to get a draft pick or two if they want to trade Tomlin instead of just parting ways, but that will depend on how it would want to end the relationship.

The Steelers have several important decisions to make this offseason and Tomlin's future might be at the top of the list. The team feels stuck in mediocrity and something must change, or its fans will begin to go insane.

In a year that has seen head coaches Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll and Mike Vrabel looking for new teams, anything feels possible.
