Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is known for making some absolutely crazy catches dating back to his days with the LSU Tigers.

The Kansas City Chiefs found that out first-hand in the second half of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.

With Cincinnati facing a fourth-and-6 trailing by a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, Chase hauled in a pass from Joe Burrow 35 yards down the field. He did so while being double-covered by Chiefs defensive backs Jaylen Watson and Bryan Cook. It was an absolutely brilliant catch.

You just can’t teach that. It’s otherworldly stuff from Ja’Marr Chase at a spot in the game where Cincinnati needed a big play from its stars.

Prior to this reception, Chase had caught five balls for just 40 years and was looking to be a big-time loser with Cincinnati hoping to make its second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

A couple of plays later, Bengals running back Samaje Perine scored from two yards out to tie the game at 20.
