Watch: Bills RB Damien Harris gives 'thumbs-up' before leaving field after scary hit on 'SNF'

Another scary incident involving a member of the Buffalo Bills unfolded on the field during their "Sunday Night Football" contest against the New York Giants.

Late in the first half, running back Damien Harris was met with a heavy hit at the line of scrimmage before falling onto his back. Struggling to lift his head, he motioned for help, seemingly unable to move. After being tended to by medical staff from both teams, they placed Harris carefully on a stretcher, with his neck and back stabilized. On an encouraging note, Harris gave a thumbs up before leaving the field via ambulance.

In another positive sign, the Bills subsequently announced that Harris had movement in his arms and legs and would undergo further tests at a local hospital.

The scary incident conjures up memories of Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who went into cardiac arrest on Jan. 2 in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on "Monday Night Football." Hamlin has since returned to the gridiron, playing 18 special teams snaps for Buffalo in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.
