Watch: Bengals rookie RB scores 54-yard TD

After quarterback Joe Burrow recently suffered a season-ending wrist injury, the Cincinnati Bengals needed more from their running backs. Against the Indianapolis Colts, they're answering the call.

With 6:31 remaining in the first quarter, backup QB Jake Browning threw a short pass to rookie RB Chase Brown, who took it to the house for 54 yards, giving the Bengals a 7-0 lead. The big play was the first TD of Brown's career.

Entering Week 14, Brown hasn't had a considerable role. The fifth-round pick out of Illinois has only rushed for 67 yards on 11 carries. However, if he keeps making explosive plays, he could earn more playing time and become a dependable RB2 behind Joe Mixon.

Cincinnati (6-6) is still in the playoff hunt. Browning has proved he's a reliable backup, completing 75.6 percent of his passes for 649 yards, three TDs, and one pick in four games. Still, the Bengals need more playmakers to step up to take pressure off of him.
