The Chicago Bears released their first injury report of the 2022 regular season on Wednesday. The good news is that there are only two names on the list. The most notable is wide receiver Velus Jones Jr., who is dealing with a hamstring injury. The rookie did not practice on Wednesday.

Additionally, defensive lineman Dominique Robinson is nursing a knee issue but did participate in a limited capacity.

The Bears enter the 2022 season significantly healthier than they were at this time last year. In 2021, the first injury report included 13 players. However, seven of them did participate fully in the Wednesday practice while the other six did not or were limited.

Seeing a short list this time around is a breath of fresh air. Health will be crucial for a Chicago Bears team starting with a clean slate and trying to build something special under the new regime.
