USC's Caleb Williams Responds to Pink Phone Controversy
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

USC quarterback and expected No. 1 overall draft pick Caleb Williams has been in the headlines over the last week and it had nothing to do with his football talents. Williams was snapped at a college basketball game between USC and Kansas earlier this week holding his pink phone.

For some reason, fans online didn't take too kindly to the color of Williams' phone along with his fingernails getting different colors on them as well. Some even took it a step further and stated they didn't want him drafted to their organization.

Well, if you thought that Williams would be deterred by the comments on social media about his phone color or the color of his fingernails, then you would be sadly mistaken. In a video that has recently surfaced online, Williams has taken a light-hearted approach to responding to the online trolls about his phone and fingernail colors.

USC Trojans Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Player Relations Gavin Morris posted a video of himself and Williams talking about what has transpired this week and the pair had clearly some fun with it.

So as we can see, Williams is taking what was said about his phone and his fingernails with a grain of salt as it clearly didn't have the impact the online trolls thought it would.

Slated to be the No. 1 overall pick and be heading to the Chicago Bears, Williams is no stranger to appearing in headlines, but for the most part, it has been to do with his football exploits.

Now with fans not happy with his phone color choice, Williams took the high road and made light of a situation that if we are being truthful, shouldn't have really been a "situation" at all.
