UCLA Football: Watch Ex-Bruins Defender Notch 1 Of Season-Most 6 Tackles In NFL Match
USA TODAY Sports

Sunday football means watching former Bruin stars make plays all over the gridiron for their NFL teams.

This week showcased former top defensive back, Quentin Lake, as he recorded 6 tackles in the close game between the Rams and the Steelers with the Steelers getting the questionable win.

Lake is a backup safety for the Los Angeles Rams after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Since then, Lake has played in 16 games totaling 25 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Lake is making the most out of his limited playing time but has already seen an increase in snaps from his rookie year.

When Lake was with the Bruins, he spent five years with the team but struggled to stay on the field in 2019 due to injury.

After the granted extra year of eligibility Lake made the most of it playing in 11 games and racking up 39 total tackles, 3 interceptions, and 6 pass defences.

Lake has slowly been getting more and more snaps every week for the Rams with his highest percentage coming during Week 7 against the Steelers where Lake played 49% of the team's total defensive snaps.

All this while also taking over half of the special team snaps the safety is showing his versatility and willingness to do whatever he can to help the team win.

Fans of the Rams and Bruins can enjoy the hometown player continue to make plays on the football field on Sunday.
