Travis Kelce 'very aware' Chiefs haven’t beaten Brady, Gronk in playoffs

Six-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs fell to Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game two seasons ago and didn't have an opportunity to avenge that defeat en route to winning Super Bowl LIV last February.

With Brady and Gronkowski now playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kelce reflected on his personal playoff record against the duo while speaking with reporters on Monday.

"I’ve never beat Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady in a playoff situation, and I’m very aware of that," Kelce explained, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

The Chiefs beat the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Nov. 29 and will have a chance for a repeat performance at Super Bowl LV this coming Sunday. While Kelce still feels the sting of a prior loss, Gronkowski had only good things to say about his counterpart earlier in the day.

"One thing that's very intriguing about Travis Kelce, and I've never really seen this with any other player in the NFL ever before, is that Kelce gets better every single year that I've seen him play in the NFL," Gronkowski said.

Gronkowski added that he views Kelce as "the best player on the Chiefs' offense."
