'TNF' bets: Listen up, these bets are saying 'Cha-CHING!'

We've got us a premier "Thursday Night Football" matchup like you dream about with Tyson Bagent squaring off against Bryce Young.

OK, so this game lacks much of the typical appeal you might hope for in a standalone game, and we get that. By all means, use tonight to switch over your winter clothes or take your significant other out to dinner and give your eyes a break from what could be a disaster of a game.

You don't need to watch the game to lock in some bets though, and we've done some careful digging to find some plays worth feeling confident about. You're welcome for our service.

Two player props for 'TNF'

D'Onta Foreman TD (+135 DraftKings)

We were excited at the possibility of betting on Khalil Herbert in this one, but it sounds like Chicago's top running back will be on the shelf for another week. That keeps the door open for D'Onta Foreman to continue being the volume runner in this offense.

Foreman has taken 15+ carries in three of his last four games, grabbing 11 red zone looks in the process. The Panthers own one of, if not the worst, run defense in football. They're also allowing the most running back touchdowns per game. Foreman is as good a bet as anyone for a monster Thursday night.

Bryce Young over 32.5 pass attempts (-110 DraftKings)

If you haven't been paying attention to the numbers, you might paint Chicago's defense with one broad stroke of being terrible, but their run defense is actually a strength. The Bears are allowing the fewest yards per rush in the NFL at 3.3, the fourth-fewest RB yards per game, and DVOA puts their rushing unit as the seventh-best in football.

The read there might be to just focus on volume in Carolina's passing attack, and the hope is they understand the better matchup to exploit is the Bears secondary, which squarely ranks as one of the NFL's worst.

Bryce Young has not been good, but this year is all about seeing what you have in him, and the best way to do that is to make sure he's throwing the football. Young has logged 38+ attempts in three of his last four games, offering us some solid room to work with on this 33.5 line. Chicago sees 36.6 pass attempts per game this season on average. Grab this over.

In the news ...

Jamal Murray set to miss close to a month — The defending champion Denver Nuggets will have to maintain their top spot in the West without one of their top options in guard Jamal Murray. Murray is dealing with a hamstring strain that will keep him out for three to four weeks. The Nuggets are currently 8-1 and atop the Western Conference. The news has not impacted their title odds in any capacity, the betting favorites to win the West at +220.

Los Angeles Angels hire Ron Washington to be next manager — The Angels have hired Braves third base coach Ron Washington to fill their managerial vacancy, who has been coaching since the early '90s. This is a pivotal offseason for Los Angeles, who are in danger of losing Shohei Ohtani in free agency. The Angels are +4000 to win the American League pennant next year, the fourth-worst odds in the league. Ohtani is favored to be a Dodger next season, set at +100 on DraftKings. He's +1500 to remain an Angel, which is behind eight other clubs.

Lamar Jackson on pace to reach feat that hasn't happened since 1994 — Nine games into the season, the Baltimore Ravens have looked dominant, currently sitting at 7-2. A big reason why has been the play of Lamar Jackson. Jackson leads all quarterbacks in completion percentage (71.5%) and rushing yards (440). The only other QB to ever lead the NFL in both categories was Steve Young in 1994, a year he won the MVP. Jackson is the current betting favorite to win MVP this season at +350.
