There's no secret to it. The Tennessee Titans need more production from young wide receiver Treylon Burks. A player who entered the league with lofty expectations from fans due to the A.J. Brown trade, Burks has not been able to stay healthy enough to truly blossom in the NFL.
After adding veteran WR Calvin Ridley, Burks is the clear third option at the position for the Titans. Could that mean more slot reps for him? Only time will tell.
New Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz was honest about Burks when asked about his role going forward.

Holz appreciates Burks' physical attributes. That is not debatable. By his tone, it seems like there is some hurdles still to go from a processing standpoint, but he is confident that Burks can achieve that growth.
The OC notes that Burks will get what he earns. Holz has noticed his potential.
We'll see how Burks' role comes around during the season, but there is more competition at WR than there was last year in Tennessee. They could add a wideout during the NFL Draft as well.
The former first-round pick has totaled just 665 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in his first two seasons combined. Plenty of upside - Burks must push himself to new lengths to get playing time in 2024 and beyond, though.
