Three superhuman moments from Titans newest draft pick T'Vondre Sweat
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat is the newest member of the Tennessee Titans after being selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Sweat is a dominant force on the defensive line. So much so that it sometimes feels like he's superhuman. At 366 pounds, Sweat plays must-watch football. His presence next to Jeffery Simmons is going to be a lot of fun for Titans fans.

Here's a look at what Tennessee is getting into. Three times when T'Vondre Sweat defied logic on a football field.

Sweat wins with one arm

During a game against the arch rival Oklahoma Sooners in October, Sweat recorded a QB hit on Dillon Gabriel and forced an incomplete pass after winning a rep with one arm.

Three steps, one arm, and the left guard is going for a ride. Just silly strength that really shows why Sweat is impossible to single-block.

Sweat folds Limmer in half

Here's another example of what happens when Sweat is left to go one-on-one against an interior offensive lineman that he outweighs by over 60 pounds.

At the Senior Bowl in Mobile, I was front at center to watch Sweat take on Arkansas center Beaux Limmer in the trenches. The onlooking media members, head coaches, and general managers were shook as Sweat shoved Limmer five yards straight back and rumbled over him with ease.

Just insane strength. Sweat's ability to push the pocket and penetrate from the interior is going to make life extremely chaotic for opposing offenses.

Sweat runs a 5.27

You might be wondering what makes a 5.27 in the 40-yard dash so special. After all, defensive tackle Braden Fiske ran a 4.78 and Sweat was dead last in his position group.

But then you remember that Sweat is 366 pounds. Fiske is 292. A 366-pound man should not be able to run a fluid 5.27...and if we're taking Sweat's word for it, that may not have even been his best run.

A number of offensive tackles weighing in the 300-320 range ran slower times. Quarterback Spencer Rattler came in at 4.95...and then there's a 366-pound defensive tackle thundering down the field just three 0.3 seconds behind.
