Terms of Kyle Rudolph's deal with Giants unchanged despite foot surgery

Kyle Rudolph agreed to a two-year, $12 million deal with the New York Giants last week, but waited to sign the contract until after a physical examination on Tuesday.

The physical determined Rudolph has an issue with his foot and will need to undergo surgery. However, the injury did not change the terms of his deal, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. He should be ready for Week 1.

The Minnesota Vikings cut ties with Rudolph earlier this month. He spent the first 10 years of his career with the franchise, earning Pro Bowl selections in 2012 and 2017.

Rudolph has regressed in recent years, recording under 400 yards in each of his last two seasons. Some of the pressure will be off him in New York, where he'll work alongside Evan Engram, but the Giants are hoping a change of scenery will benefit the 31-year-old and help revive his career.
