Taylor Swift celebrates Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win over San Francisco 49ers
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Taylor Swift celebrated an epic Super Bowl LVIII victory for the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers. On a Patrick Mahomes touchdown pass on the final play of overtime, the Chiefs edged the 49ers 25-22.

Swift, notable for her superstar music career, rose to football fame by her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce was integral down the stretch of the fourth quarter and overtime to set the Chiefs up for the win.

You can see Swift celebrate in her box in Allegiant Stadium below.

That wasn’t the only fun Swift had during the night. She was seen on the jumbotron chugging a drink. Rather than smile and wave, Swift decided to throw one back for a crowd of 65,000 to see.

Swift’s beer chug was the most electric scene of the Super Bowl up to that point, with a defensive struggle taking place on the field. She arrived to Las Vegas on Saturday, fresh off performing four nights inside the Toyko Dome in Japan as part of The Eras Tour. Much had been made of whether she would be able to make it on time for the 3:30 p.m. local time kickoff, but you just knew there was no chance she would miss out on being in attendance for the biggest game of the season.

Swift didn’t come alone, accompanied by actress Blake Lively, rapper Ice Spice and others. The pop music superstar is once again inside a stadium suite, notably alongside Travis Kelce’s brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Despite being nearly 6,000 miles away in Tokyo, Swift was the talk of Super Bowl Radio Row this week. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, speaking with reporters Monday, addressed the impact the pop music superstar has had on the league.

“Having the Taylor Swift effect is also positive,” Goodell said. “Both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people, they seem very happy. She knows great entertainment, and I think that’s why she loves NFL football. I think it’s great to have her a part of it. Obviously, it creates a buzz [and invites] another group of young fans and young women who are interested in why she’s going to this game, why she is interested in this game. Besides Travis, she’s a football fan. And I think that’s great for us.”
