Tad Prescott, brother of Dak Prescott, appears upset at Dallas’ handling of free agency so far
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

As NFL free agency swirls, the deal-making in some places has caught the eye of the brother of Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott, Tad Prescott.

Tad has often been vocal about the state of affairs surrounding his brother, but he was especially pointed on Monday afternoon following news that some of Dallas’ biggest rivals were making major moves.

After the Philadelphia Eagles signed Bryce Huff and Saquon Barkley to multi-year deals, Tad Prescott took to Twitter and offered some effusive praise.

“So, if it wasn’t clear already, it is now. The @Eagles have the best front office in the NFL,” Prescott wrote, adding the hashtag #howboutthemcowboys to his post.

Shortly after, Prescott retweeted a more direct shot across the bow of the Cowboys franchise, referencing the team’s famous “all in” slogan.

It’s pretty clear at this point that Tad Prescott is fed up with Dallas’ slow approach to NFL free agency, and it’s a little hard to blame him. The Cowboys haven’t made many moves just yet, while the Commanders and the Eagles, in particular, continue to stack pieces within the division.

Prescott himself needs considerably more help after coming up short in the playoffs yet again.

Dallas has finished first in the NFC East twice in the last three years, putting together three consecutive 12-5 records in the process. But the Cowboys have failed to make it out of the Divisional round of the playoffs in that span. In two of the three years, including this year, the franchise has flamed out in the Wild Card round.

That’s not going to cut it for a quarterback who has lofty ambitions like Prescott.

Prescott has quarterbacked the Cowboys for the past eight seasons, and the Cowboys have five playoff appearances to show for it in that timeframe. But success in the playoffs has been hard to come by, perhaps a product of the team’s lack of support around Prescott.

In any case, the Prescott family seems at their wits end, at least if Tad Prescott’s recent social media posts are any indication.

In eight years, Prescott has thrown for 29,459 yards, with 202 touchdowns and 74 interceptions. He has also run for 1,884 yards and 28 scores.
