Stanford QB Commit Elijah Brown Leads Mater Dei To CIF Southern Section Division 1 Football Championship

Four-star quarterback and Stanford commit Elijah Brown appears to have the makings of the next great Mater Dei quarterback. A Southern California powerhouse that has produced quarterbacks like Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley, JT Daniels, and Bryce Young. 

As for Brown, he appears to be on track to leave the school as one of the most accomplished signal callers they've had, accumulating a 42-2 record as the starter after Friday's win. Those two losses both came at the hands of Mater Dei's biggest rival, St. John Bosco. Last season Brown and the Monarchs beat Bosco in the regular season, but saw the Braves end their season in the Division 1 Southern Section Championship. 

This season the scenarios flipped, as the Braves blew out Brown and Mater Dei in the regular season winning 28-0, knocking them down from the top spot in the country. However, it was the Monarchs who got the last laugh and some revenge, as thanks to a stout performance by the defense and two touchdowns from Brown, Mater Dei won 35-7.
